First Episode of Weird Code: "The Water Hobo"

Note: This is a repost of an item that I originally published in October, 2007.

I had this idea for a podcast show that highlights the unusual application of technology to solve everyday problems. I decided to call this podcast "Weird Code," and I've just finished my first episode.

It tells the story of a man named Tim Higgins and his invention, The Water Hobo. Tim had a problem: People kept cutting through his yard to get to the subdivision swimming pool. Being the geek that he is, he decided that with the combined might of .NET and modern plumbing, he would build a motion-sensitive water canon.

This is his story. Enjoy.

Have you done something "weird" with Microsoft technology? Do you know someone who has? Drop me a note and tell me about and maybe you'll be on a future episode of "Weird Code!"
