In my continuing series this week of major event announcements (I'm all about keeping you in-the-know), I want to tell you about the MSDN Developer Conference taking place in Minneapolis-St. Paul on Tuesday, January 13th.

The purpose of the MDC is take the most important announcements and content from the Microsoft Professional Developers Conference and re-present it for those folks who couldn't make it to LA last October. We'll be reiterating the major announcements of PDC around the Azure Services Platform and Windows 7. Other sessions will include the latest developments in ASP.NET, Silverlight, WPF, Visual Studio 2010, Live Mesh and more.

Specifically, you can look forward to:

1. Experience the Azure Services Platform for Cloud Computing
Create applications that seamlessly bridge PC, Web, and phone

2. Be among the first to see Windows 7
See the latest advances in Multi-Touch Application Development

3. Take your .NET skills to the next level
See sessions on WPF 4.0, Silverlight 2, ASP.NET 4.0, Oslo, Live Mesh and more

And what does this cost? This full day of great information and content is only $99.

All attendees will receive a Windows 7 Beta DVD. If the Windows 7 Beta DVD isn't available at the time of the event, it will be shipped to you as soon as it becomes available.

To give you a flavor for what you can expect, here's the agenda for the event:
